How to use Live Traffic CCTV

This page lets you pick traffic cameras on Korean expressways and national roads from a map and watch them live. Camera locations and video links come from the open API of Korea's National Transport Information Center (ITS). It's handy when you want to see for yourself how busy a road is, or what conditions look like, before you set off. No sign-up needed.

How it works

  1. Drag and zoom the map until the area you want fills the screen. If you're zoomed out too far, you'll be asked to zoom in before cameras appear.
  2. Tap "Near me" to move the map to where you are — your browser will ask for location permission first.
  3. Choose All, Expressway or National road, or type a camera or route name into the search box to narrow down the cameras already loaded. Camera names come from ITS in Korean (for example, 경부선 for the Gyeongbu Expressway). Mint dots are expressways and orange dots are national roads.
  4. Tap a dot on the map or a name in the camera list to start playing it. The list is sorted by distance from the center of the map (or from the camera you picked).
  5. Under the video you'll find the route, location, video format and update time, along with Favorite, Reconnect and Show on map buttons and a button that opens the spot in Kakao Map.

Good to know

  • Live video can lag behind real conditions by anywhere from a few seconds to a few tens of seconds.
  • Camera lists are fetched area by area and reused for 10 minutes. If ITS stops responding for a while, the page falls back to the last list it received within the past 6 hours. Video connects live every time you pick a camera.
  • Favorites are saved only in this browser. Open the Favorites tab to jump to them wherever the map happens to be.
  • Your location is used only to move the map and is not stored.
  • Once a feed loads, the lens in the picture at the top plays a live camera too. Tap the lens to open the same camera in the player below.
  • Please don't look at the screen while driving — check before you leave, or after you've stopped somewhere safe.

The video won't play and says "Unavailable"

The camera may be under maintenance or temporarily offline. If the video link had simply expired, the page fetches a new one and reconnects once on its own; if that still fails, try the Reconnect button. If your browser can't play live (HLS) video at all, you'll see a separate message saying so.

It says the cameras couldn't be loaded

When ITS doesn't answer, the page retries up to two times. If it still fails, or you see a message that the CCTV data limit has been reached, please refresh again in a little while.

Which roads are covered?

Expressway and national-road cameras published by the National Transport Information Center. If you've zoomed in and still see no dots, you'll get a "No cameras in this area" message.

Can I watch past footage?

No — only the live feed being broadcast right now. The video plays straight from the address ITS provides, and WOOJOO JUMBBANG does not record or store it.
